CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
In the presence of pupils and parents, the school presented "Artavan, The Fourth Wiseman, by Vistoras Glykidis. The pageant was a harmmonious blend of lyrics, prose and dance and was enjoyed by all.
CELEBRATION OF THE NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY HOLIDAY
The school took the occasion of the national and religious holiday to commemorate the nation's anniverary of our struggle for liberation, but also to memorialize our school's founder, Evangelos Mandoulides. The celebratory event was preceeded by a memorial service at the secondary school's chapel in remembrance of Mr. Mandoulides.

MANDOULIDES SCHOOL CELEBRATES THE SPIRIT OF MAY
The school chorus presented Artavan, The Fourth Wiseman (written by V. Glykidis, adapted from the story of the same title written by Henirick Van Dyke) at the Olympion Cinema Tehatre. The performance was part of an obervance of the World Day of Childrens' Books. The event was sponsored by the Association of Publishers in Northern Greece and the Office of the Vice Mayor for Culture and Adolescent Affairs.
SOLUTIONS AND PROGRAMS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES: THE COLLEGE OF ECOLOGY OF THE GREEK ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROTECTION OF NATURE
Junior high school students attended a very enlightening event regarding topics on sustainable development and the protective care of the environment. The students listened to speeches given by A. Papadopoulou, a public relations representative with a-Cert, The European Institute for Sustanable Development and Dr. C. Vasilikioti, an agroeconomist. Afterward, the students visited Mr. Nikos Grava's organic farm near N. Magnasia.

FOURTH ANNUAL STUDENT' CONFERENCE ON SCHOOL TECHNOLOGY
Tenth grade students joined in the Fourth Annual Students' Conference on School Technology hosted by the Fourth and Fifth Public School of Kalamaria. Our students gave a presentarion on technological application, receiving laudatory remarks from students and teachers from others schools also attending.
FIRST ANNUAL STUDENT CONFERENCE ON COMPUTERS
Students from the ninth and tenth grade attended the First Annual Student's Conference on Computers. The venue for the groundbreaking conference was the N. Economou Conference Center at the NOISIS Museum of Science and Technology.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS VISIT ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY
Students and teachers of the pure sciences and technology department visited the School of Physics at Aristotle University. While there, the children and the faculty escorts were given a special presentation and the theory of organic elements.
THE ASSOCIATION OF YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS
The NOISIS Conference Center was the site for a conference of young entrepreeurs to learn more about economic principles and the methods
used in market competition.
