Day Care Center - Kindergarten

The Day Care Center and Kindergarten lay the foundation for the full development of the child.  Students learn to discover themselves.  They take initiatives and build skills and exercise them through creative games.  Competent educators help the youngsters in forging a balanced and well-rounded personality through the use of modern pedagogic methodologies, all of which takes place on a pristine, environmentally friendly campus; safe and secure, full of care and attention, love and creativity.

The students of the Day Care Center and Kindergarten:

LEARN: language and arts in specialized study programs that nurture skills in speaking, writing, reading and arts.

FAMILIARIZE: Themselves with the modern world of education through studies in mathematics, computers and foreign languages.  Bilingual classes and bilingual link kiddies classes help students practice their oral skills in English.

EXPRESS:  The creativity within them through various genres of arts and performing arts:  Music (Musical Scales, rhythmic dance, singing), Theatre (Theatre games, dramatic arts, doll theatre), Arts and Crafts (painting, collage, sculpture and recognition of Greek and foreign artists).

CULTIVATE:  Their self-awareness through educational excursions, cultural events and entertaining activities.  The children exercise their bodies as well in daily physical education activities such as rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, basketball, football and classical Olympic games.

ENTERTAIN:  In the extra-curricular clubs:  Doll theatre, shadow theatre, doll making, theatre games, arts and crafts, Journey Through Fairytale Land, cooking and pastry making, music clubs, team sports, computers, rhythmic gymnastics,  classical Olympic games, basketball, tennis, football, folk dance.  The children learn team spirit and friendly co-operation. On weekends sports academies run activities in basketball, football, tennis and snowboarding.

ENGAGE:  In daily afternoon programs from 14:00-16:00 without economic obligation to the parents.  These programs help working mothers and fathers and are available during the Christmas and Easter breaks and the summer vacation period.  Students return home by school bus following the regular after school return route.

MANDOULIDES ENGLISH GARDEN

Mandoulides English Garden is a relatively new program for children of ages three through five whose mother tongue is English, and for students who wish to learn English at a level equal to their use of Greek.

English and American teachers instruct the English Garden.  They follow an analytical program that also uses theatre and games to help bring the student along with expression.

The students follow a one-hour daily lesson in Greek as a means of paralleling with English their Greek language skills.

After completing two years, the children will move on to kindergarten and elementary where lessons are conducted in Greek (not to include the English language lessons).
